Wage negotiations

Both SATAWU and UNTU rejected the CCMA wage offer and negotiations will resume.

Dispensation

Werner has been in contract with DALRRD and will share their response regarding fruit age dispensation.

9am Daily update on port container terminals operational status due to Transnet strike.

TNPA marine staff are close to normal staffing levels therefore there is no apparent restriction on vessels berthing and departing ports. Private terminals are operating as normal and are therefore said to be not affected at this time.

CAPE TOWN CONTAINER TERMINALS

  • TNPA – marine services are compliment vessels will be serviced.
  • CTCT – Container deliveries to CTCT is suspended for the time being.
  • CTCT vessels on berth = 2 – Kota Lekas (2 gangs discharging), Santa Teresa.
  • CTCT vessels at anchor = 6 – Ever Dainty, Niledutch Lion, MSC Acapulco, CMA CGM Nabucco, Cypress, Luanda Express.
  • CTMPT – Container deliveries to CTMPT suspended for the time being.
  • CTMPT vessels on berth = 1 – MSC Meltemi III. No gangs working.
  • CTMPT vessels at anchor = Nil

EC REGION CONTAINER TERMINALS

  • TNPA – marine services are compliment vessels will be serviced. Coega Pilot boat out for repairs.
  • NCT – limited staff present on waterside and landside activities. Import evacuation in process.
  • NCT vessels on berth = 1 – MSC Euginia (no gangs am today).
  • NCT vessels at anchor = 3 – MSC Krittika, MSC Marianne, Santa Rosa.
  • PECT – limited staff present on waterside and landside activities. Truck gates closed.
  • PECT vessels on berth = 1 – MSC Positano (no gangs am today).
  • PECT vessels at anchor = 1 – Maersk Visby.

DURBAN REGION CONTAINER TERMINALS

  • TNPA – marine services are compliment vessels will be serviced. Durban Pilot boat out for repairs.
  • Pier 1 – limited staff on landside and waterside expect slow movement. Container deliveries suspended although priority imports are being managed case by case.
  • Pier 1 vessels on berth = 2 – Bear Mountain Bridge (1 gangs), MSC Rowan (nil gangs).
  • Pier 1 vessels at anchor = 2 – Kota Lawa, Santa Clara.
  • Pier 2 – limited staff on landside and waterside expect slow movement. Container deliveries suspended.
  • Pier 2 vessels on berth = 4 – CCNI Arauco, MSC Adelaide, Seaspan Kyoto, MSC Everest. (No gangs working).
  • Pier 2 vessels at anchor = 7 – Ever Diadem, Santa Barbara, MSC Courage, CMA CGM Valparaiso, Lady Jane, CMA CGM Coral, CMA CGM Don Pascuale.
  • Durban MPT – limited staff present on waterside and landside activities. Truck gates closed.
  • Durban MPT vessels on berth = 2 – Polonia (1 gang am shift), MSC Mila 3 (1 gang am shift).
  • Durban MPT vessels at anchor = Nil.
